    Fixing/Replacing seat cushion?

Well, I picked up my Super Sport Nautique this weekend and on eof the rear corner cushions is broken. The wood (or fiberglass?) floor to the cushion is broken all the way across the bottom and is causing the cushion to bend when someone sits on it. Anyone know if I should fix it or get a new one? I was thinking about screwing an 1/8" piece of sheetmetal across the bottom of it in order to reinforce it. Where can I pick up a replacement? Is there such thing as a boat junkyard that would have random parts like these? I think the cushion was the same from 1995 to 2001 on all V-Drive Nautiques. Its white BTW, in case someone has one.

If the seat is broken on the "edge" you will most likely have to remove the staples to reinforce it as you discussed. The staples take some time to remove. You may be better off ordering a new bottom.

I have never heard of a "boat junkyard."

I have seen a few boat junkyards around austin, texas, but alass, I have never seen a nautique there.

If you post a picture I am sure we could help better. I am confused if it is the removable vinyl seat, or the plastic seat base that remains in the boat.
