A friend of mine has a 2003 SAN 210. The depth finder use to work now it only flashes zero's. The marina told him it was the transducer, so he got one and wired it in, and we hung it over the side of the boat and you can hear it clicking but it still flashed zero's, but everything else on the guage works, (ie: air ,and water temp, etc.) Was that the wrong way to test that transducer? Has anyone had this happen and what was the solution. Thanks. MikeG.

RE: Depth finder ?
When you test the transducer make sure its submersed in water. Which by the sounds of it you did.
I don't think that the transducer picks up the air and water temperatures....I had a problem with my stock depth finder not working....I replaced the transducer and it didn't help.....I checked the wiring behind the console and all seemed fine.....so I ended up wiring the new transducer to a new individual faria depth gauge, and I'm glad I did..it cost about $120.....and works better than the stock one did (more accurate), and the display is larger and easily seen.

RE: Depth finder ?
I had issues with mine a few years ago, thought it was the transcucer, but after looking around I found the cable had wiggled itself a bit lose behind the dash. After playing with it and getting it set right again I haven't had an issue since.
