timing chain cover

hey i need a timing chain cover for my 240hp 351 pcm. mine is shot. skidim wants over 600.00 bones for a new one. help

Are they different than automotive covers?
If not, then what about Ford Racing Parts cover FMS-M6059-D351 on summitracing.com for $140.00
Maybe the marine one is different though, I do not know...............

IF they are the same as automotive, you might find a used steel one from a junkyard..................good luck!

from what im hearing automotive is different. different holes in different places for different brackets. i dont know . but i have been calling around and found an indmar timing cover for 220.00 but unsure if it will work.

The main differance is they are cast iron. On the indmar version make sure it has the bracket mount for the impellar pump on the side and make sure the dipstick hole in the timing chain cover is blocked off.
