System Light Blinking Slowly?

I have owned a 2007 SANTE for about 3 months now and I just got it back from an annual service. Maybe I'm going crazy but I don't remember the system light ever blinking. It was always pretty much a solid red light when the system was armed as far as I can remember.

If I'm not going crazy and it's not supposed to blink, what does the blinking mean? It's a slow steady blink. I can't seem to find anything in the manual about blinking lights.

If you are talking about the red light on the dashpod....I think it blinks only when you are programming it.

Yeah, AirTool, I think we're talking about the same light. I'm referring to the large, red, main system light that comes on in the middle of the dash when the system is armed and the engine can be started.

The light blinks very slowly and I think it should be a solid light. Referring to AirTool's reply above - if it was in programming mode, wouldn't that mode clear after shutting down everything and turning off the battery? The boat has been shut down completely, including turning off the battery, several times. When I repower everything the light still blinks.

If it was in program mode, and the powerdown doesn't clear it, how would you clear out of program mode if the system were powered? I could follow the programming procedure I guess but it seems like there's another issue here.

Nope...not talking about the same light. I'm talking about one of the small red lights on the dashpod/keypad.

You are talking about what's called the "Check Engine Light' in the dash layout section 3 and the "Warning Light" in the text section 4. I'm not sure why the manual changes the name of the light from one section to another...poor checking probably. Section four indicates the light should come on with the ignition, then go out when the engine is running. If the light comes on while the engine is running, the manual infers high water temp or low oil pressure. I thought also there could be a check engine malfunction code.

Maybe you have a bad oil pressure "switch" sender that is flickering the light.

Called my local Correct Craft and they said that it's a warning light when it blinks slowly. It's blinking even when the engine is NOT turned on. They said that they would need to reset it by hooking into the boat's computer with a laptop.

It's interesting that you mention the oil pressure switch, AirTool. During service they found that my oil pressure guage was not functioning so they temporarily replaced it with a 2006 oil pressure guage. The one for my 2007 boat had to be ordered and should be in this week. They explained to me that the change out of the guage might be causing the warning light.

how did they test for bad oil pressure
they should have the comp program if they are a good dealer
