    what do you mean by this. I would think that the boat just needed to be level to chack the oil correctly.

      The boat needs to be at the same angle as is is when it is floating, V-drives do not necessarily float "level".

        my question is this: As a designer, would I design it to be serviced on a trailer or on the water? Most dealerships service them on trailers, so I would believe that would be the appropriate oil level. However, there are some boats that never see a trailer...

          u also have a trailer jack

          it goes up and down

          most of the nau i have services, i needed to crank that sucker up, but it was the shops level of flooring
