    Separating Coupling from Shaft

    I need tips to help me remove the coupling from the shaft on a direct drive. Thanks.

    there are some good instructions over at CCFan. Do a search over there. I need to do the same thing on my wife's Mustang. Good luck.

      Here's the "spacer with the long threaded rod trick"



      Tell us more - why are you removing the shaft?
      Use a spacer such as a deep socket. Tighten the bolts slowly are evenly. The fit is a interference fit so the coupling needs to be heated to install it back on the prop shaft.

        my tool

        This is the tool I always use for seperate the couple and shaft,I borrow it from my friend,but this can find in hard ware tool shop.
