I was running my boat on the trailer (water supply hooked up to engine) to warm it up before changing the oil and winterizing. I noticed water coming out of the hull where the shaft runs through. There was as much or more water coming out of the shaft through hull as there was coming from the exhaust. Is this normal? There wasn't any water in the hull of the boat so it wasn't coming from there and my boat doesn't seem to take on water while in use. I think there is a water hose that runs to the dripless packing gland but is it supposed to push water out through the seal? Is this to lubricate the shaft from overheating during operation? The boat was in neutral and the shaft was not spinning at the time. It only leaked while the boat was running. Boat is a 2008 210. Thanks for your help in advance.

RE: Water leaking from shaft through hull
ok, thanks. I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure.Current: 08 Super Air 210 Team
