    Best Wax to use?

We have an '08 SANTE and I've used a couple different waxes it on this year but they seem to vanish quickly; what is the best wax to use now that will last?

If you guys can recommend something and post some links to where I can purchase it that would sure be helpful.

    Thanks!

You really want to start a debate, don't you!
My personal choice is if the gelcoat is in good, almost perfect shape is this. Use Meguires 45 boat/RV polish, applied with an orbital buffer. Wipe that off before it dries. Apply Meguires 56 Pure wax, with an orbital buffer, and allow it to dry. After it is dry, buff it off by hand with microfiber cloth.

2nd on the Meguire's! It's the only product I use on my car and my boat! Ijust put on my first coat last weekend! The combination of polish and then a wax will make it last longer! I also use the quick detailer inbetween waxes!

210GA Let me know if you go out this coming fri. or sun. I should be out both days! I purchased a wetsuit last weekend so I can keep riding! Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

I'll probably be out on Toona. I saw you got you a new boat; nice ride bro!

Aren't you on lanier? Toon's water is still nice, around 72 or 73.

I too have tried quite a few products through the years and have to say that "in my opinion" Collinite has been the best. It was recomended a few years ago to me by my CC parts guy and I have used it ever since. I can honestly say, you can apply at the beginning of the year and it will last all season long and Texas heat and sun can be pretty harsh.

there is no wax that will out last more than 2 really good washes---if you are using the boat and washesing it really good to get grime off--it will remove the wax after a few washes

on newer boats i recomend using a liquid based exprees wax like rain x or blue corral express(professional) everytime you wash it and dry it---with this there will rarely be a need to hand wax it--of course darker colored boats will occcsional need a hand wax to remove the light

Another vote for Collinites. Amazingly easy to apply/remove, and the most durable wax Ive found to date. Im now using the same stuff on my car.

Collonites 925 is the same as their Insulator wax, by the way. $12 on ebay (free shipping) or Ive found it locally at NAPA.
