Looking for Weight of 1997 Prest Ski Nautique Trailer

Does anyone know how much a 1997 Prest Ski Nautique Trailer weighs (even ballpark)? The manual for the boat says the closed bow version weighs 2340lbs. I'm getting ready to register the trailer and the previous title lists the gross weight (i.e. with the boat) at 4500lbs, which seems high to me. In Massachusetts, if the gross weight of a trailer is under 3000 lbs it does not require a title. So I guess my question is whether or not the trailer weighs less than 660lbs (2340+660=3000).

    Any input is appreciated.

Best way to find out would be take it to a truck scale, but I understand that might be hard to do if the boat is on it. I am pretty sure it weighs more than 660lbs. I think the singel axle trailers are around 1000-1200lbs. Could you call prestige up and ask them?

My single axle ramlin weighs in at about 1300. I've weighed the entire rig and subtracted the boat and tower.

Theyre asking for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the trailer. That is the max rated weight the trailer is capable of carrying, plus the weight of the trailer itself. I would guess that your trailer is rated somewhere between 4500-5000 lbs... either way, its over 3k.

Yeah, I had the same thing here in Ohio, so I got a scale ticket (this was for my first Nautique) and had it weighed with the boat on it, then I found out I shouldn't do that, as they were just looking for the trailer weight on mine, so I had a buddy drive the boat around while I took just the trailer to the scale, and it was a whole fiasco. In the end the guy at the scale said he'd mark it at the 500 lb mark, which I thought was light. Seems like 1100 would be pretty close, though.

I used to own a 1996 Prestige single axle trailer with a closed bow ski nautqiue on it. I believe it was around 1200 pounds for the trailer alone. My boat and trailer both were roughly 3650 and could be pulled with a V6 pretty comfortably. Check out my pics to see what the trailer looked like
