keypad not working on a 2001 SAN

i ran my 2001 super air mon and tues. i charged the battery last night. today i jump in flip the battery switch on. hit my code and nothing. where normally the guages come on, they didnt. i checked all the breakers and none were tripped. on that key pad the horn and blower still work when that battery is switched on.

i talked to woody at SECC and he thinks its the keypad. any other suggestions? and i dont have a dealer w/ in 3 hours of me....thoughts?

My keypad went out on my 2000, and it gave me a few warning signs first. Once in awhile the blower would not work, or I had to re-enter the code to start it. Then one day it just quit on me. I messed with the connections and was able to get a few of the buttons to work, but it quickly died again. The keypad ran me about $460 and it was very easy to install myself. After that everything worked great. Of course check all of your batterry connections, and fuses first, but this problem is not uncommon with this model keypad. I have been told that the problem is condensation getting inside the pad. They have supposedly fixed the problem with the replacement, but time will tell. Good luck.

i just went back out there and checked the fuse coming off the battery (forgot to check it earlier) and it was fine. i then played w/ the dash for a second and now it works fine........i guess its on its way out.

Try checking the connection to the back of the toggle kill switch. Once on my boat the kick panel was loose (the dealership didn't tighten it down after removing it to install a heater) and after towing it for awhile the connection had come loose and my keypad was dead.

Same thing happened to me when mine went out, I was fuming. On the plus side better to happen on the dock then in the middle of the lake. Hope the new pad shows up soon.
