E-10 issues
My boat, a 1997 Ski Nautique, over 2075 hours. I have been running E-10 for several years now. I did have the plastic fitting that holds the wires for the high pressure fuel pump start to leak at about 920 hours. I did a repair on it, and I have not had a problem since.
I do not know if the leak was caused by the E-10.
With E-10 in the tank, I rarely find any water in the FCC canister. Same story with the fuel filters on outboard motors my ski team uses. By rarely, I mean almost never, but never is an absolute, so I will not say that.
If you by chance have a significant amount of water already in your fuel system, E-10 will cause problems the first few fill ups, as the E-10 dissolves the excess water, and tries to run that through the engine. It's different solvency may also work loose some sediments, and clog your fuel filters, at first. On much older boats, the rubber fuel hose could be affected by the E-10. If your boat is old enough to have the older hose, you probably should change it to a more modern hose that has alcohol resistance.
