I had a chevy silverado 1500 with the 5.3 z71 4x4 and it did great. Even towed down to Cumberland a few times, which is much hillier than it is here, but I just traded that for a Tundra double cab with the 5.7 litre 4x4 trd and it's a beast. I don't know wether it will stop better, but it gets better mileage and makes MUCH more power. I've heard it's a dream to tow with, so we'll see.Travis Fling

My Denali wasn't enough for me. It towed fine, but at hwy speeds I was getting 7mpg......that's why I went to over kill. Just got an 05 GMC Duramax Crew Cab 4X4. I will now have to make sure I remember the boat is still back there!

7mpg, really? That is really hard to believe unless your truck was lifted, bigger tires and not regeared.
