It appears that the entire module that operates the Faria guages on my 2003 sn 206 is fried. The dealer has ordered a new one. I would rather not haul my boat to the dealer and leave it for him to swap-out this module. The module is in the rear trunk and easily accessible and I am wondering whether I can do this myself. Anybody have any experience with this procedure? It looks like I just unplug a bunch of wire connectors and replug them. Two screws hold the module to the boat.

If you do it, make sure you note which wires go where so that things aren't mixed up when you put it all back together.

Various gages failed to work, then worked for a while then another would go off and then on. Then they would all fail and then, after restarting the boat, would come back on. Generally possessed by the devil. The change out was easy, however, if you do this be careful that they send you the exact same module. The first replacement module I got from Faria did not have water and air temp or a depth finder. Also, they changed the wiring diagram at some point so make sure the you get the correct diagram with the correct module. Then it is a ten minute job.
