    Soft Floor Question

Is the floor on a 90 SN wood or fiberglass?
I have a flexible spot under the driver seat and when I pulled the carpet back it looked like it was fiberglass. If so how can I strengthen it?

    RE: Soft Floor Question

Both. You will have wood any where a seat mounts with glass on top, but everywhere else it will be glass over foam.

      RE: Soft Floor Question

Good luck to you- thats not good news. Check out my floor and partial stringer repair thread on CCFan. Lots of pics there to show you how the boat is constructed. By the sounds of it, you could be in for something similar.

Theres nothing special about the carpet, so unless youre trying to get away with just doing the floor (and not the entire thing) just pick out something you like. Lots of places online sell marine grade carpet. Some Lowes in certain parts of the country also sell decent stuff, so Im told. You can get away with a 6' wide piece assuming its slightly oversized (at least 6'2" or so).

Unfortunately, Ive been told that the large side decals are NLA. Might want to call around to a few dealers to see if anyone has anything left in stock. The 91-93 decals might not be a bad option if the 89-90 ones arent available.
