Ok busted the boat out for the first time this year, changed the oil and oil filter. Put the boat in the water and it ran fine, I took a pull, my buddy Brandon (BP22) took a pull. We were pulling the boat out of the water and while I was waiting for him to get the truck and trailer I let the boat idle for about 15 minutes or so. I started to bump the boat in reverse and then forward, reverse and then forward just waiting. I then put it in gear and it went into this mode with the RPM REDUCTION SEE DEALER reading across one of my guages. I shut it off and restarted the boat it ran for about 100 yards and then did this again. After getting it on the trailer we left it in the water and I put it in gear without the prop turning. It ran fine for 5 minutes so we took it out of the water. I flushed it and it ran fine (we run in a brackish river) I have closed cooling. The boat never got above 148* and the water temp was 63* do you think my risers which are now 6 years old are starting to become clogged which put the boat in limp mode? My oil pressure was fine, it never got hot, tranny fluid is fine and I have a new impeller and water pump. What else could cause it to go into this mode. My dealer was closed today so I could not call them. Could going in reverse and forward and letting it idle cause a code to be thrown to the computer causing it to do this until it cleared out?
Any help would be appreciated, up until this weekend the boat has run flawless and been very reliable.
