Trim tabs for 2000 SS?

Have a 2000 Super Sport that I want to modify the wake for slalom skiing. Does anyone have experience with adding a trim tab or simliar system to their SS?

What are your experiences with this type of alteration?

I've seen it done on an 02 with the huge apex 454 motor. They appeared to be the helm adjustable trim tabs, although I never drove it, I did hear that it helped to get the boat up on plane a bit faster and shapped the wake. I don't know what the warrantee implications are.
