    They did lower them, but not by much. I talked to someone at Shell (staff chemist was his title). He said it went from 1400ppm to 1200ppm, but it would be sufficient for a flat tappet motor.

    I realize I should have said similar zinc levels not the same in my previous posts.

      40w40 rotella and FL1a motorcraft filters are both at walmart.

            Yes. I run Valvoline Dex/Merc in my 1.23. Avoid the high mileage stuff- it has a bunch of extra additives that you dont want/need.
