On my '99 NSS, the water temp sensor is on the transomm air temp sensor is behind the instrument pod.

On my '99 NSS, the water temp sensor is on the transom and the air temp sensor is behind the instrument pod.

water temp is either, in line in the raw water pickup pipe, just before the weed trap or incoporated in the perfect pass paddle wheel.
air temp is normally under the dash area (not behind instruments) but up with the other wires, sort of above your knees when driving.
