How can I remove rainex from windshield

I am tinting the windows on my boat and have all done except the middle one. I applied rainex to that window on both sides last summer. I have tried tinting it three times now but keep getting lines in between the glass and the tint. All the other windows look great but that middle one keeps turning out horrible. I tried scraping it with a razor and have tried numerous cleaners on it but it still seems to have some rainex residue left. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

I imagine a little bit of gas will take it off, Gas is nice because I drys to nothing. Then a little bit of foaming glass cleaner

I believe rainx is silicone based? Any cleaner for silicone based products, even gas as mentioned, should remove the residue. Clean the glass as required by tint manufacturer and re-apply.

NEVER USE GAS TO CLEAN ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! You are asking for a big potential of fire when cleaning with gas. I know, I know your not smoking, welding, or building a campfire beside your window tinting job, but better safe than sorry. Use acetone or rubbing alcohol and you will get the same results much safer.
