My False Floor Project - 99 Air

Okay, so I wanted to build a false floor to go on top of the hard factory tanks for my 99 Air that would support an additional fat sack on top. I will probably rip out the hard tanks eventually, but not this year, so I needed something. Here is what I built.

Easily supports my weight. I figure an extra 350 - 400 lbs of ballast on top should be no problem.

I do plan on adding an aluminum cross bar on the end support pieces.

Rust stains are from metal plates that were on the previous owner's false floor. I tried some rust specific cleaner with limited success. Will try diluted simple green next. Worked wonders on my gas tank.
