220 for a short period is not big deal.

I've got everything tightened up. Will test on the bucket the first chance I get. Thanks again for all the help!

i did the same thing last summer....ended up I missed a bolt during my winterization the year before on the cylinder that is on the side of the engine where the water goes through. I cant think of the name of that cylinder. Anyways, back her in the water start it up and check for leaks

Put a 92 ski in one year that i just bought and the prev owner did not tell me that he had not replaced the impeller. Took it out and it got hot fast. We did paddle it back as the rear exhaust hoses melted and it destroyed the inside of the muffler.

As far as i could tell no damage to the engine at all. An old boat mechanic told me you really have to heat one (Block) up to damage it. Don't remember the temp it got to but it was hot.

We just replaced the hoses and "gutted out" the inside of the muffler and also did a bit of fiberglass repair on the muff. It actually improved the sound and gave it a little more rumble. . . .like an nautique ought to sound like. Good luck with the new kid!!!!

I ran the boat on the bucket yesterday after tightening everything back up and going down my local CC service tech's checklist for this sort of thing. Ran fine in the driveway with no temp spikes. So off to the lake she went. Two sets later, I'm happy to report that we're 100% good to go. Thanks for all the tips and advice. I'm 99% sure it was that plate not being attached properly on the water pump. I won't make that mistake twice.

Bellwood. Cold for me. I was in a neoprene top and board shorts. 63 degrees in the water according to the Perfect Pass display.

The three ball is either missing or submerged (3 ball if you're going east--west). I have a replacement, but realized that it is not inflated. It will be next time, but someone might beat me to it.

Yeah, mine was hanging in the garage. Just as well though since I don't ski all that well in it.
