I choose to go a different route for my air chair mount. I decided that I wanted the mount to match the "style' of the flight clips, so I custom made my own air chair flight clips.

Awesome job on the rack! I have looked through your pictures numerous times and wanted to mount mine the same. Unfortunately the curves of the 04 tower makes it impossible.
I'll take some pictures this weekend with the rack and chair on to give you an idea of my problem.

This is Titan's Air Chair rack. It's the only one I found that makes on oval mount. This is one of my problems with the 04 tower. Any ideas?
I also need two wakeboard racks, I doubt I can mount one on the lower support member because of the curve. Anyone tried a single mount? How well do they work?
Thanks

if those are allignment problem, then my '02 has them to a small degree. Mine (when folded) does not hit both grab bars in the front. One side is about 2" above the grab bar. Then when reassembeled I have to "pop" the ball into the socket on one side. It is only off by 1/4" from being centered. The other side is perfect. I think there will always be a slight alignment problem when talking about these types of designs, but your looks like it is bad enough that the dealer to needs to adjust it.

ag4ever/icap....very nice hydrofoil rack. Do you have the dimensions of what you made and what you made it out of? The alignment problems where your tower comes together can and should be fixed. It is pretty easy to do. You need to wack it with a rubber hammer until it sits in place by itself. You will need to raise it out of the socket before you try to hit it. You will never see towers fold down and hit in the same spot on everyboat, at least we never have.

midohionautiques knows what he's talking about. The one that he set up on my boat is absolutely perfect. I have to fold mine every time I use the boat, and the employees at the marina where I keep the boat always make comments about how they've never seen a tower line up as well as mine does.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I made my mount out of some steel pipe and 1/4" by 2" bar stock. I just kept cutting cardboard templetes until I was happy with the shape. Then I transfered it to the steel, and welded it all together. It weighs about the same as the stock flight clips, but it does stick out a little bit further than the stock clips.
I was not really happy with any of the available air chair mounts, and after getting a couple small tears in my vinyl, I decided I had to make my own. My biggest concern is that the foil and seat would not be anywhere that a person could be struck by them, and that it was strong enough to hold the weight of the chair in semi-rough water.
All I need to do now is get it, and one set of my clips powder coated red to contrast with the tower. Then get my windshield frame powder coated blue, so the whole color scheme works better.
