Adding belly tank, 02 super air 210

Any one else added a belly tank to the ski locker of there 02 super air 210? I only have the 2 factory V-drive tanks. It" hops" a lot with the 2 V-drive tanks full and only a few people. Still a little cold down here so no one wants to move to the front of the boat
Bought a 500 pound fat sack for the ski locker. How did you pipe it in. Did it help as much as every one is saying it will?
I was just going to T into one of the rear tank pickups??? For temp use today and this weekend I was just going to use a pump I bought a few hoses over the side of the boat.

Any suggestions would be much appriciated

There are several really good threads on installing custom ballast systems on boats just like yours. Search for ballast systems and you will find all you have ever wanted to know about it.

belly tank

I have the 02 team edition, and it has the thru hull pump and valve just behind the belly hard tank. If you want I can measure where it goes, and you could drill for a new pump and valve.
My neighbor has a 99 and he just has a pump he attaches to the soft tank and throws a hose over the side to fill and empty. Not a real big hassle.

Are you running one or two batteries. I need to know where to move the battery and add a second. I would like to remove the bow battery and put a sac under the cushions. I think the bow sac is going to make the biggest difference.

RE: belly tank

Unless you are going to do a complete system re-do, I would just use the pump over the side method. I plumbed in a new system a couple years ago, but did not annex in my belly sac. I fill mine once in the spring and drain it in the fall. Depending on your trailer and tow vehicle, you may not really have to even drain it either.

DJ, I had a 2000 that I installed a complete ballast system in. For the belly sac I ran a fill line from the thru hull pick up I installed near the rear of the boat. The fill line ran over the gas tank into the belly locker. The vent and drain lines were ran up throught the hole in the floor that all the control wires to the helm uses. I had installed two through hull fittings under the rubrail near the front tower footing.
The belly sac does help with the porpoising.
Hope this helps.

Do you go to A&M?
