I am getting a buzzing sound coming from the dash when I push the start button twice but not starting the boat. The boat is still winterized so i do not want to try to start it yet and dump antifreeze all over my garage floor. I have been doing some mods to my stereo and listening to it so I'm not sure if the cause would be from the batteries being low. I have had a battery charger on them while I have been doing the tuning to the stereo. The hour meter gauge is flashing an orange or amber color and it is not registering the hours on the boat, also it is buzzing a warning sound. Just wondering if anyone knows what may be causing this? I would like to get it fixed before the riding season starts. The Volt gauge is between 11 and 12 volts so I think the batteries are charged enough. Could this be from the boat sitting all winter and it is not registering enough oil?

RE: Buzzing sound/warning
I am not really familiar with the newer boats computer systems. However, offhand, I would guess that 11-12v is too low. A lot of electronics require min 12v, I believe PP is that way, my iPod interface is like that. I doubt it is oil because that should be pressure when running, not an idle signal at power. I would just wait til you can fire her up which I presume could be this weekend.
Good luck.the WakeSlayer

RE: Buzzing sound/warning
Thanks. I am not sure why the batteries would be low though. I have kept them charged all winter. Maybe I should pull them and he them tested. The batteries are only one year oldCurrent: 08 Super Air 210 Team

See if your RCA cables are touching or close. I had a similar issue when I did some stereo work a couple years back. Might be a long shot.

What type of charger have you had hooked up to the batteries all winter? If it's a charger without a "maintenance" charge rate then you have cooked your batteries. The below 12 volts also tells me this may be the case. A fully charged good battery should read about 12.8 volt. Pull them and have them load tested. Be prepared to get new ones. Is one a starting for the engine and the other a deep cycle for the accessories?

it could be that while listening to the stereo and the battery charger was on the buzing sound was from the charger going thru the system.??

I didn't say I had a charger hooked to them all winter. I trickle charged them a couple times during the winter months with a battery tender that shuts off when full charge is reached.
Anyhow I checked the RCA's like mentioned above and that is not it. I did pull the boat out today and started it up. It started right up without any problems but the RPM/Hourmeter gauge is still flashing an orange color and not registering the hours. Also the guage is still making that buzzing sound (loud alarm buzzing sound). I am puzzled why it is doing this all of a sudden. Two weeks ago when I got the boat out of storage and installed my batteries it didn't do this. So what could be causing it now? It looks like I am gonna have to take it to the dealer.Current: 08 Super Air 210 Team
