Well my favorite lakes to visit so far are Lake Bryan (small but calm most of the time....in College Station, where I went to school), Lake Austin, Lake Granbury(stumpy but my sister lives there), Lake Whitney(going up the river) and Possum Kingdom. I keep my boat in Brenham, where I grew up, so it's a pretty central location to pull all over. I'm not a big fan of Lake Conroe(too choppy) and Lake Somerville (just down from Brenham....choppy too). I got spoiled on glass at Lake Bryan before it got a little more popular but if you have people out there that know how to drive the lines, it's money. I've got a buddy in Clear Lake that rides. I'll try to get an idea of where he rides in the area.

Ditto on Lake Bryan. That's my home lake. It is great during the week and early and late on the weekends. Jared, you still in town? What boat did you ride on down here?

We actually found a great place to ride on Lake Conroe. If you go up past the 1097, the bulkheads disappear and it gets nice.

I graduated 2004 from A&M and we started riding out there summer of 2002 on an '02 black and white 210 SANTE. I also had a buddy with an '01 maroon SAN. We pretty well knew all the guys riding out there since there were usually only 3 or 4 boats on the whole lake(two of which were usually bass trackers fishing). I heard that they didn't open it to recreation until 2002 so it was great for the first year and a half.....then they built The Hook (which we were all about) but it started drawing a lot more people out there. I'm in Houston and Beaumont working now but I go back to CS a lot to take my boat out and hit up northgate. I have a '92 BFN with a ridiculously tall tower that looks like it was possibly built in high school shop class.....if you're out there and want to ride, feel free to come get a pull.
