09, 220. Bilge pump switch on or off & blown LED?

While running on the weekend, I hit the heater button a few times to find the right fan speed. This coincded with a complete shut down of the engine.
After resetting the switches & going through the start procedure, we were under way again.
The strange thing was that none of the circuit breakers had tripped.
The only noticalbe thing is that the Bilge Pump Switch LED is not working.

How can I tell if the bilge pump switch is on or off & if in fact the pumps are working at all?
Can the Switch LED be replaced or does the push button need replacing.

Boat has done 80hrs, so if I can be sure the bilge pumps are working, I'll live with blown LED until the 100hr service.
    Can anybody advise please.
    Thanks,
    Philb

Are you talking about the light in the keypad or the light in the side pod? If it is in the keypad then recheck the breakers to see if they were popped, then if they are ok then the keypad will need to be replaced. but if the led in the side pod is burned out then it is very easy to replace them.

Your boat will start and run with the switch not all the way up. When you hit any button on the dash it will kill the engine/ everything. I believe if you leave the switch on bilge, for instance when your parked in the water for a bit, you can start it up on bilge ( instead of run) but as soon as you hit any button on dash it kills the engine.

Have had it happen a few times. No biggie.

The bilge switch( toggle not button) is there so that if you leave ypur boat outside for a period of time, the bilge will still kick water out. if its(toggle) on off, the bilge will not work.

I'm talking about the LED in the keypad. It is the button that turns the auto pump on.
If it is only the LED that is blown, will that stop the pumps from working?
None of the breakers had popped.

I dont understand why turning the heater or any other accessory on or off while running the boat would cause the engine to shut down. Never happened before.

I dunno why either just know it happens.

when the LED light is on you will activate pump manually, when it is off the float switches in the pump activate the pumps.

"While running on the weekend, I hit the heater button a few times to find the right fan speed. This coincded with a complete shut down of the engine. " Was the toggle switch next to your right leg all the way up or was it on bilge. The switch under the throttle that is.

I understand the LED in the dash keypad button is to indicate the that bilge pumps are in the Auto mode. The pumps are supposed to come on every few minutes & if the pumps sense a resistance (IE pumping water) they stay on 'til all the water is gone = no resistance.
My question is; since the LED light in the switch button on the dash keypad is blown, will the bilge pumps still work?

Toggle switch was in the "all on position". Has to be as engine wont start in "bilge pump" only.

Engine WILL start in Bilge pump only.. at least mine will (07 210).

For instance: go to dockside reastaurant, switch to bilge only, come back start boat and forget to toggle to all on, going down lake decide too turn on heater, boat shuts completely off. Then I remember to switch to all on.

Not a mechanic, but if there is no light in the switch then there is not any power running to it. The pumps themselves should automatically(when needed) come on whther the switch works or not becuase they are connected to the toggle(all on/ off/bilge)

I'll try that about the toggle in the bilge only.
Ive got a new key pad on the way.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Wont be for few weeks though, as I'm not going to the river this weekend.
                  Thanks,
