I was reading the manual on here for my 2000 SAN I just got and it said if the battery is disconnected that once it is reconnected it goes into locked mode and you enter in a code to unlock it. What If I don't know the code. Is it the same on all boats this year model?

RE: 2000 SAN key code number
You can call your local (or closest) dealer. Give them the serial number and they can provide the original code from Correct Craft. I keep the battery unhooked all winter and I've never had a problem with my code...but maybe I'm using the original code and not a "user entered" one. I should check my manual when I get home.2000 Air Nautique

What is the normal code maybe it hasn't been changed? Or is this also different for every boat?

RE: 2000 SAN key code number
Maybe shortcutting a little drama, but Have you tried pushing the strt button? do you know for a fact that it IS locked, or did you just read something in the manual and assume that it went into lock mode. I am not saying this to be condescending or a d**k. I am speaking from experience. When I took ownership of my boat, I had read a similar thing. Panicked because I did not get a code from the previous owner. long story short, no previous 'code' hade been established. all I had to do was hit START. I have since then established my own code, but there is also a 'factory' code that will overide my code if I forget it, Just need to contact my dealer or CC. Hope this is of some help.

RE: 2000 SAN key code number
No it's not locked took the boat out last weekend for a test drive before I bought it I just had no clue their was a code and figured that eventually I would get myself into a situation where I needed it and didn't know it. I guess I will have to contact the dealer. Will any dealer be able to provide me with this. I bought it from an individual who bought it from his budy in orlando. I have no clue what dealer it was bought new at.

Check the owners bag for a little piece of plastic and 5 numbers. Back with that year they came with the factory codes.

Bryand82487, I've disconnected power from my boat many, many times and your regular unlock code you use to start the boat should continue to work. Are you referring to the first sentence in the 200 manual regarding "locked mode" on page 1.2 "When the boat battery is first connected, the unit is in locked mode"? That simply means you'll have to key in the start/unlock code you already know.
If you don't know the start code or any code at all, you're likely already locked out as the unit should automatically lock after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Hope this helps.'08 Super Air Nautique 210

Not sure if anyone has explained this correctly. If I understand this correctly, here is the deal
Each boat has a Master code. If you wish you can put in the master code and program additional codes for other users to remember. If the battery is diconnected the programed codes will be deleted kind of like your programed radio stations. When you reconnect the battery the master code has to be entered to unlock and start the boat. Then you can reprogram the other codes if you wish. Again I may have misunderstood this when i read it about 2 yrs ago.
