06 or newer SV211 ballast - photo needed

    Hey guys,

Can someone post a photo of how the ballast puppies are mounted in the newer SV211's ? My friend is having a system put in at an inboard maint shop, and I want to show the installer how the pumps are mounted from the factory. Am I right that they are on a plate above the back end (transom) of the engine?

    thanks in advance.

The 2007 pumps are mounted in the engine bay on the starboard side. Check out the attached pic and you can see the pumps on the left. Good luck.

One thing you may want to recommend is to install the pumps a bit higher than the factory install. Since they have to be installed with either the impeller side facing down our out, the higher you install them the easier it will be to replace the impellers. The ones on the 08 boats are nice (at least on the 210) because they are mounted on the stern side with the impeller plate facing forward (see attached pic). I helped a friend of mine replace his impellers last year and it was very easy.

Good luck and post some pics if you get a chance.
