    Plastic duct for the exhaust

On my boat I noticed that the air duct or whatever you would call it that runs out the back of the boat to the exhaust hole is torn in half. Will the boat run fine like this for a while or should I get it replaced immediately? Shouldn't I be able to buy one to replace it at an auto part store?

If you mean your exhaust hose, you need to fix that now. Got a pic?

Sounds like you are talking about the bilge exhaust. The purpose of that is to exhaust the bilge air, which may contain gas fumes, to the outside. If there is a tear is this duct work there is the potential for gas fumes to be pumped right back into the bilge. I'm a bit of a safety freak so I'd replace it with the correct duct from either White Lake, Skidim, or your local dealer.

what diameter is the duct? I was looking for one on skidim this morning and they have 4" and 3". I was going to order tomorrow after I measured it but maybe I can order today if someone knows.

Provided we are talking about vent tubing. I used aluminum flex tubing in our Mustang. Home Depot. They have the vinyl wire stuff too.
