Just pulled the boat out for summer, I noticed the it was leaking from behind the impeller. also when I turned the boat of I noticed it would still leak or more like a weap from behind the impeller. ( on the backside of the housing where the shaft goes in. Is this just a seal that needs to be replaced am I ok to run the boat for a day or two until I can get the part to replace it. The motor is a 2001 PCM 5.7 HO the impeller sits on a bracket in front of the pump. also I just hooked up my shower is this an ok place for the cold water line.

RE: leaking impeller
As long its a small drip and there is plenty of water to cycle through the system its fine - as long as your engine temps stay within reason your fine. Might just need a new o ring, but while your there you might as well drop a new impeller in. Neglected impellers cause more down time on the lake than anything else...2018 Ski Nautique 200 TE, H6

Just the one o ring, and a paper gasket on the back side - see the other live thread on this topic. Interesting that you never get the impeller out without damaging it, as I've never had that problem, I just spin it out so to speak after winterizing the boat.2018 Ski Nautique 200 TE, H6

double check your clamps and fittings as maybe one of them isn't tight or in the right spot. I noticed when I de-winterized my boat this Spring I hadn't fastened the hose & clamp on the water hose going to the transmission cooler correctly (when I winterized it) and hence it was leaking.
The paper gasket goes on the other side of the thin metal plate that is sandwiched between the two sides of the RWP housing. The o ring contacts the other side of the plate.2018 Ski Nautique 200 TE, H6
