    alternator belt

Hey, i own a super air nautique and i believe it's a 2002. The alternator belt came off and went into the water, so i have no clue as to what size\length to get. Does anyone know and can they point me toward a link where i can purchase it?

    Thanks

Call PCM or SKIDIM They should be able to hook you up. The local dealer would also know.

Seriously though, Skidim or White Lake can probably hook you up.

Nope. The connecting "dogbone" pieces on my EZ dock are black rubber, and I can assure you that they sink, and sink fast.

                    RE: Re: RE: alternator belt

lol, ok the story actually isn't that great, sorry.

It's nearing the end of the season and i decided to take the boat out one last time before winterizing it. The last time i took the boat out i heard a belt slipping and checked and saw the alternator belt was loose, but it wasn't that bad and only slipped after a rev (only when pulling the boarder up). I stupidly ignored it because, hey, it was only one more day/run on the lake and figured i could take care of it when winterizing it. So we're there, and about after 3hours the engine cuts and i'm dead in the middle of the lake. The engine won't turn... and i'm like wth? so i open the engine cover and notice the belts gone... i searched the engine area up and down, left and right and couldn't find ANYTHING! so this is my guess\take on things. It came off awhile ago and i was running on the battery and completely spent it all. somehow during that time it exited the engine compartment and sank like the titanic.

and that is the story of the missing alternator belt. Tune in next time for stupid and random escapades with Bingkewl.

It is down in your bilge somewhere...or wrapped around your harmonic balancer.

If its rubberish shouldnt it float?
rubber has a specific gravity of 1.25.....so goin' down.
