    Simer pumps?

I hear Simer makes a low priced(under $80 dollars) reversible pump that can flow as much as the Jabsco. Where can I find the Simer Blue Water ballast pumps? The part number is BW8512
I know they are not ignition protected but I plan on mounting one in the ski locker and am on a very tight budget. Any help finding one will be appreciated.

I've ordered pumps & replacement parts many times from B.E. Atlas, as have many others.

The bid problem with simers is they are not ignition protected. Big boom if you mount then near an engine compartment

I don't think they've ever been listed on the site but if you call they likely still have them.

what is the difference between the blue water pumps and the ones everyone else uses? Or is that what the "bw" in model # bw8512 stands for?

Johnson makes a really nice ignition protected pump the F4B-11 Ultra Ballast that flows over 12GPM for less money than the Jabsco 1127 and I have been told it's every bit as good of pump if not better. I just ordered one online for $157 dollars shipped to my door. I will let you guys know how it works out.

Just noticed they're on back order (in the link above). Check out google products:

I have one installed near the back left speaker.

I run them as fill pumps in my boat, no more valves. Best modification I have made to my ballast system. I still like the aerators for empty, if I forget to turn them off while I am heading in after riding they don't burn up. The system is been working flawlessly, this will be the third summer on this system. My Simers came from BE Atlas, I think the price is now up over $100 each shipped, mine were about $85 a few years ago. I ran two Simers on my previous boat too. I bought spare impellers with them but never needed them. They run better if you don't reverse them but they reverse easily once they are wet and warmed up.
