Whining, whistle type noise from my new 210.

Yea i did. Its just getting fixed now when i took it to the dealer for the start of the season. They said it would not hurt the motor without the hose connected. Might want to call your dealer though. Did you figure out if thats what is was?

I'm assuming you're disconnecting the vacuum source to the pcv valve. I think this would be fine for testing purposes, but I don't think I would run the engine for extended time periods this way. It will build up to much crankcase pressure and could possibly start pushing oil out of the seals or oil filler cap.

2007 SANTE 210, has ad a kinda of harmonic whine @ idle sppeds only and only @ very particular throtle points...open throtle jus a mm more or less and it goes away....
dosent do it when out of water, im kinda used to it now though

we have the same thing on our 2009 216v. i need to take it in, but just haven't. i will let you know what we find out. the speakers on port aren't working and that has to be addressed IMMEDIATELY! Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

My 04 SAN whistles too, just of idle. I tracked it down and it was coming from the port side engine compartment vent. Just the right amount of air passing through the vent causes a whistling noise... Worth a check.

09 210 whistle

Let me know if you figured out the whistle. Got a good friend that just picked up a new 2009 210 and it has the same issue. It also died on the water after about 10 hrs. Still not sure exactly what went wrong.

my 2009 210 whistles while its taking off. i just thought the engine sounded like that. sounds like a turbo charger or something.
