Recently my Excalibur has stopped 4 to 5 times while idling over 3-4 days. When attempting to re-start engine turns over but does not immediately start. Once it took 5-6 attempts to re-start. This only happens at idle and the boat is running great. FCC filters were changed 30 hours back. I have drained the FCC no water, checked pressure at fuel rail and it’s fine, around 50 PSI when ignition is turned on, during starting and while running. I can here FCC pump run when ignition is turned on.
Can the idle control module or anti-siphon valve affect or cause hesitation when starting?
I plan to take the fuel pressure gauge with me and next time it stops I will check pressure when I attempt to restart. I just feel the fact that it quits only during idle and then does not immediately re-fire should be a clue as to the culprit, just not sure what. :?: Any Ideas?
