going over double ups or waves the boat often dies

What can be the problem when the boat dies when we hit a larger wake? It just dies and then we can start the engine at once again after this has happened. Anyone that has a clue what to do about this :?:

Is it a carb boat? If so sounds like a float issue.

Float is a good thought...or a loose ignition or power wire of some sort.

Had a boat do this, loose wire connection on the safety lanyard switch.

I have just started to have a similar or maybe related problem with my '03. On mine though, the boat never shuts off, just the stereo and the perfect pass. I haven't done the digging yet, but I think there was a recent thread somewhere talking about the power wiring under the dash being inadequate, and possibly bad connections that would cause these types of issues. I'll see if I can dig....
