    Minor problems

I have a few irritating, but minor problems I need suggestions on for my 206.

First, the coaming pads on both gunwals don't draw tight against the gunwal. Doesn't matter how tight I cinch things up. The pads just don't sit flush. The same is true in the bow where the coaming pad or seat rounds out against the corner of the bow. IAnyone else have this problem.

Second, the shocks on my engine cover keep popping off. I had this same problem on my 99 SNOB. Any suggestions on fixing this irritating problem.

Third, I noticed an area on my gel coat, right above the rub rail that is blistering. Does anyone know what the warranty period is for the gel? Is this something I should get fixed right away or can it wait until winter?

Thanks in advance for any help.

On your second issue, is it the black rubber pieces that hold the clamshell down or the actual shocks underneath the engine cover?

On your third issue, you can wait for the winter time to get the blistering fixed.

Thanks for your reply skinautique. Its the shocks that are popping off. Seems like my alignment is bad or the shocks are just too darn strong. Any comments on the coaming pad issue. Frankly, I a little disapointed that I'm having this kind of problem with a Correct Craft.

I was hoping you would say that about the blistering. Do you know if this is covered under warranty?

If I am not mistaken, you should be covered by warranty on the blistering. I would contact WCCC about that.

I haven't heard anything about the shocks but it sounds like you need a new set installed but it is hard to say for sure without seeing it.

As far as the coaming pads, you might have to have some christmas tree clips added on the backside inbetween the existing bolts. I would think that would help you draw the coaming pad in tighter. Let's see what some of the other people here have to say about it though.

Check to see if the retainer clips on the shocks are missing or maybe not in position.

Thanks guys. Rick, the retainer clips are in place on the shocks. On my 99 SNOB, Woody at SECC gave me a couple of composite blocks to fasten between the ball joints and the clamshell. THese stopped the ball joints from flexing under the strain of the shock. It worked for the most part. Maybe I'll call Woody.

            What are christmas tree clips?

SGY i t sounds like your bottom brakets are angled too much and they need to be leveled out to align them it also could be the bottom of the engine hatch is flexing too much. the chrismas tree clips look like a barbed fitting that once you push them into the holes the barbs grab the sides of the holes and won't come out unless you pull real hard and break them. I would contact your nearest correctcraft dealer to let them know about the blister or void.

I would sure think CC would take care of all of these things. That is a lot of $ to spend and not be 100% happy. Let us know what they say.
