I have a 97 Sport Nautique with the GT-40. I keep popping my 15 amp breaker in the back of the motor once the engine fires up. I have replaced the low pressure fuel pump and filter and cannot figure out why it keeps popping the circuit. I unhooked the wires going to the 15 amp breaker and hooked them up to a 25 amp breaker and same thing . . . the engine just ran longer and the wires were getting hot. It isn't even pulling very many amps either. Please can someone give me an idea what is wrong.

RE: Problems with my low pressure fuel pump
I had this exact same thing happen and it turned out to be a bad LP fuel pump. Even though it still made noise like it was working, it clearly had a short of some sort. The engine would fire, run for a sec, then the breaker would pop. I'd keep it simple and replace the pump (again). Did you have the problem before, then replace the pump, and the problem still persisted?
