For an Excalibur use 15w40, I use the Shell Rotella, others are available. Most likely you have the remote oil filter which actually uses a standard Ford filter, FL1a or equivalent, I use the Motorcraft brand, you want to avoid the Fram from what I have read.

        The Fram fits my remote.
Others are 0,2" longer and collide the manifold when you slide it on.
Should be straight for the slide on.

You can also use the AC-Delco PF-2 oil filter.

The 15w40's are over in the diesel section....but they do meet the API spec for gas engines.

Me too and it is all readily available at your local Wal Mart.

I've been buying the wix because they are good filters and also painted glossy BLACK. I take the label off with some goo gone....looks sick when you open the clamshell and notice the discrete black filter.

I think mikeski gave me the idea.

I use the Mobil Delvac 1x00 oil.

That's a wix 51515, available by the case on e-bay. Buy a case keep enough for a couple years and share the rest with your friends.

Note the remote filter mount uses a Ford specific filter. Kind of wierd using a Ford filter on a Chevy motor but PCM stuck with the same remote filter plate when they switched from Ford to Chevy.

I use Chevron Delo 15w-40 available from Costco.

The Ford filter makes the Chevy go faster.
