I recently bought a 2001 210 with a GT-40. I took it on the test run and out for about 2 hours the day I bought it and it ran great. Come home and go out of town for 3 weeks and take it to the lake again today. When I start the motor it runs for about one second and the motor dies, check engine light comes on and the Perfect Pass starts beeping and flashing a solid bar. If I hodl the start button on it will stay running until I let it out and die instantly. after messing with some things and no luck I probably ended up starting it and having it die about 30 times and it always started and continued to die. Has anyone had this problem or have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks in advance!

RE: 210 GT-40 won
I am having the same problem with a 2002 SAN with a GT-40. I am being told that it is possibly the keyless ingnition not the relays. I can hold the start button in and the engines keeps running otherwise it dies after 1 second. I have good fuel pressure out of the top of the FCC. I hope someone can help!!!!

RE: 210 GT-40 won
The safety lanyard shuts off the motor by turning off the fuel pumps. That way, in an accident, the fuel pumps do not run.
The start circuit overrides this safety feature.
The most common cause of a GT-40 starting and running only if the key, or start button is held in the start position, and dying as soon as the key or button is released is the safety lanyard, or its connections.
