    Gas stain

Ok I guess I took filling the fuel tank to seriously last fall because the gas came out the overflow during the winter/spring and stained the gel coat. Does anyone know how to get the stain removed? The hull is white at the overflow and now has a yellow stain. Thx kc

    RE: Gas stain

The only way to fix it I have found is to sand and wheel out the area.

Old post but had this problem. Tried everything possible to remove the stain (abrasive polishes, gas rag wipe, brake cleaner on rag wipe, bar keepers friend scrub....) and finally had to follow the advise above. Used 2000 grit wet sand and then a buffing wheel to put the shine back. Only way to get it out.

Maybe this will help someone else too....
