Clarification: When Rock_Toy says "back off the nut," be sure to only back it off to the end of the shaft and not take it off the shaft just yet. When the prop pops from tightening the prop-pull it will pop hard. Keeping the nut on the end of the shaft will prevent the prop from falling off, hitting the ground, and damaging the prop, not to mention any bodily parts between the prop and the ground. Once the prop is free, you can take the nut off while holding the prop. The key will be either on the shaft, in the prop, or on the ground.

I wish I would have read this before I did mine. Just did it last night and sure enough, the prop shot off the shaft. Good thing nothing was damaged. I was lucky, but will be way more careful next time.
