Help. Leak from shower fitting attachment

I have a 2001 Pro Air Nautique with a shower onboard. When I did a pre-season startup in my driveway with "face a lake", I noticed I have a leak at the fitting where the cold water hose attaches. The fitting is a plastic piece and it looks like it was attached using some form of glue. Not sure.

Need some direction on how to check the fitting and to put it back in. As well, not sure what materials will be needed to put it back together.

If it's leaking at any of the hose connections tighten the hose clamps, if the leak is at the fitting threads, take the fitting apart, clean the threads and use Teflon tape when putting back together.

Chances are it is at the fittings. Like Quinner said take them off, clean and use Teflon tape. I've always had problems with my leaking too. Kinda a pain for something that never gets used anyway.

I had the same problem, I took off the blue shower line and retightened the white elbow that goes into the grey T. It would not stop dripping so I did it again and found a hairline crack in the grey T, took it off and went to Home Deopt and in their irrigation section the had the exact grey T for $1.23, took 15 minutes to take off old and install new. The white elbow went in nice and snug, used a little teflon as well, no more leaks. Hope this helps

Sounds like you had the same problem I am having. No leaks from where the connections are with clamp. The leak is coming from the white elbow area.

Q.
When you put the white elbow back into the grey T, did you use teflon tape? Did you use anything else...maybe some plumbers glue or something??? At first I wasn't sure if the white elbow was threaded or not. I turned it and tightened it up. Will fire up the boat in the driveway tomorrow to see if still leaking. If still leaking will have to take apart. I assume I will have to drain the water out of the engine completely before I can take the white elbow off?? Same will likely apply if I need to take the grey T off to check it out??

I could not get the white elbow tight with glue or teflon. That led me to take it off and try again, it felt tight the second time but I may have cracked the grey T or just made it worse. The next time i went out I found water spraying out of the side of the T onto the belts. After work that day I pulled the large black hoses off of the T, took the blue hose off the white elbow, took the grey T and white elbow to Home Depot and was in the store literally 5 minutes. Put the white elbow in the grey T with teflon while you have it out of the boat, pay attentention to what angle your white elbow is at so your blue hose will hook up easy. Little trick with the blue hose is to put some spit in it and will slide right onto the white elbow. Very little water came out when I did mine so dont worry about draining engine. One thing I forgot to mention yesterday that may or may not matter is, my boat is a DD which I believe is the pro air but not sure? The piece of mind I have now was worth the 30 minutes and $1.23 I spent changing out the grey T. Good luck let me know what happens.

I used Teflon tape only and it sealed up just fine.

Tightened Hand Tight, snug.

This set up looks different then mine, same parts just that mine runs verticle on the front drivers side of my GT-40

Mine isn't like in the picture above either. I too have the Gt-40 and mine is as 01BIGAIR describes. Crap weather tonight so will have to wait until tomorrow to look into a bit closer.
