    Black rubber bumper around boat

I've got a 2000 SAN and was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the black rubber bumper around their boat. If so where did you get one at and how hard was it to do?

Did it on a 2003 SANTE - purchased from dealer for about $250 if I remember correctly.
Take off the rear end caps and pull out center round rubber piece - take out many, many screws
replace with new - if you do it on a really hot day it will help after you have left the new pieces
cooking in the sun for some time (makes it more flexible). Overall not that difficult.

Use "rub rail" as a search word in the forum section, and see what pops up.

Why pay dealer prices when you can purchase directly. $250.00 Wow!!

I'll give that a shot. My rub rail has a couple gashes in it so needs replacing regardless but also has a lot of white from the nautique pads on the trailer. Is that common with newer nautique pads also or just once they get old?

The kit you get from the dealer is more expensive, but it includes the new style polished end caps. I put one on my boat last year and its pretty easy. The biggest thing is help. You will need help stretching it out while you screw it in. The really hot day is a must so the rubber gets soft.

Use some acetone to get the white guide pad paint off the rubrail

Look under Rub Rails. That's where we got ours for my boat.
