    Can a 220's ski pole be converted to a pop up?

    Any know if the ski pole on a 2006 SANTE can be converted to a pop up style so it is out of the way until needed?

        I talked to Rick at Tachyon Motorsports about this project a few months ago. If there is interest at a price point that makes it worth his while, he will build them.

          I talked to my dealer about this and the OEM is $500. I'm sure we could come up with a similar replacement for much cheaper. I would like to get one for my 2001 SAN. The pylon is the perfect height for kids teeth while kneeling on the back seat.

            What about adapting the Malibu pop up pylon? Seems like a good idea for those that have the pylon mounted between the engine and the rear seat...

              What price would be reasonable? I think it will definitely be over $200, but I think we could keep it under $500. I have played with a few concepts, but would like to get a few lined up so I can plan the pricing, etc... accordingly. Let me know what you guys think.

              By the way...39 degrees when I pulled out of my driveway this morning with the boat for some early morning wakeboarding! It's going to take me all day to warm up! You know it's cold when 60 degree water feels warm! ( ;

                  SJames, Can you take a picture of the Malibu one? I'll see if I can get my dealer to take a pic of the CC one for the newer boats.

                    I'm definitely up for a pop-up replacement on my 03 SAN. I've hit it a time or two while working in and around the engine compartment and it does not feel good.

                    I'd say $300-$350 is the sweet spot on price.

                        Count me in, as long as it's in the sub $350 range. I vote for keeping it simple, maybe take our existing unit, cut it, sleeve it, and add a threaded insert? Maybe even something as simple as cutting it in half, threading the two pieces then making a big coupling?

                            Finally got some photos of the Malibu version. Looks very simple but uses a different frame for support. The pole is short and slides in a cup with a "J" slot the a simple bole slide into an locks when you twist it.
