I'm told it's just a mold defect and nothing to worry about but to me it looks like a hairline crack? Boat is a 08 210....what do y'all think?

RE: Is this a crack?
looks like a crack to me. Take a large crescent wrench and put a little side to side force at the bottom
and see if it opens up the crack. The skegs are covered by the 5 year warranty so you have time.

RE: Is this a crack?
That's a crack - bend it and if it breaks off - toss away the broke piece and with the pics as evidence
tell the dealer it must have broke off in the lake during a hard evasive turn. Same story if it only bends and separates.2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

RE: Is this a crack?
Stop by a decent vessel, fabrication, or machine shop and tell them you'll give them 10 bucks to do a dye pen check.
They spray on a red dye and let it soak. Then they wipe it clean and spray on a white spray that looks like Christmas tree frost. It leaches out the dye from the crack. You take a few photos along the way.

You're amazingly smart Airtool. You should be an engineer!!! I think that looks exactly like a crack... I would tell them it needs replaced. ESPECIALLY the second picture where you can see the moisture coming out of it.Travis Fling

I actually have two engineering degrees (BS Mechanical & MS Petroleum) and I am vice president of an engineering company.
The medications my doctor has prescribed me, though, are helping quite well with all the symptoms. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

RE: Re: RE: Is this a crack?
Like you and everyone else is saying, it looks obvious that its a crack. Have you tried tapping them, a cracked one will sound dull , the good ones will have a ring to them. Use a screwdriver handle or similar.

Hey Airtool - At least you're modest about it!!Just kiddin' buddy...
I always get a little warm in the pants thinking about VP's of engineering companies choosing and loving Nautiques... It's like I made a good decision or something... I've wanted one ever since I saw the ski show at Geauga Lake in the 80's.Travis Fling
