    zeroff not holding set speed

I have been having problems with the zerooff. I bought the boat in march 2009 it is a 2008 air 230 and when mph is set it surges above by 5mph then slows down to 5 mph under the set speed this then causes a surging effect. Zerooff and nautique have finally stated that there is an issue on the boats and are now having to make a fix. What I am baffled about is the fact that as
my boat is 2008 the problem has been there for a year. I am sure other people are having this issue?

    zerooff not holding speed

I am hoping that Nautique come up with the solution for the gps soon. Very frustrating having to set rpm everytime you ride as number of people in the boat effects the setting everytime we ride. Surprised nobody else is sat waiting for these upgrades?

      RE: zerooff not holding speed

Weird. I have Zero Off on my 2009 and I have zero problems with it. It is so much better than PP.

Perhaps there is a setting that's wrong? I'd have it replaced via Warranty if you can't figure it out.

Do you know how to access the diagnostic screen on the zero off? If you do not hold down the menu button until the screen goes to change the screen and select scn and it will show a list of things and go to diagnostics and select and double click with the menu key and it will go to the codes being listed and check to see if the gps puck comes up as being bad.

Just replaced my '05 sv211 with one of the excess inventoried 2008's - it is a 220 with Zero Off -- I have been having the same types of problems. Originally thought it was due to waves and the gps tracking -- then it occurred on perfectly smooth water (glass). Thought it might be due to cloud cover and too few satellite links -- turns out, I had 11 satellites and the clouds went away - still had the problem.. last thing I noticed was that shutting the entire power off to the boat, waiting about 30 seconds and turning everything back on - now the system worked for the rest of the run (about 3 hrs). It's quite frustrating I agree! especially as stated above that this problems been around for over a year... anyone know if there's a software update that might be the issue?

            zerooff

I call nautique every couple of weeks chasing this question. Have you had any update on the fix yet? Are we the only two guys having this issue on zeroff or are other people having problems?

              RE: zerooff

No luck so far, but it seems like the problem starts when the Zero Off is turned on under the boat lift canopy. If I shut the boat off then back on once I'm on the water then I haven't had a problem. Will keep watching.

                bad antenna

zero off have said there was a problem with their antenna and the line up with the satellites. for 2010 they have a new antenna but you cannot replace on older models with zero off. We replaced our zero off with perfect pass and could not be happier and running with a extra 2100 pounds on top of the standard ballast. Perfect pass will only work in 2008 and older for 2009 and newer CC changed the electronics in agreement with zero off so perfect pass will not work even if you tried to make it work.
