    heater leaking??+water strainer stuck

already posted on WW but I think the PN community is able to help a brother out!

Last year I would unscrew the water strainer bowl and clean it before every use..now it seems to be stuck, for good. What should I do to set it free? should I remove the hoses , take the filter out of the boat and soak it in hot water?

    second issue
I think my heater is busted...sometimes it's hot as ****, sometimes it shoots cold air..I'm getting a good amount of water in the bilge, which happens ever since I'm getting cold air. what should I look for? engine is a EX330 , 02 210TE.
is it possible that my PP (wakeboard pro) is broken because of water in the bilge? it used to work fine (had it fixed over winter) and now the buttons do not work ??? if I press the menu or ON/0ff button nothing happens...

    thanks in advance!!

strainer bowl has a "O" ring that needs to be lubed. You are takingon and off quite frequently so I am sure the O ring is dry. Try to spray some silicone spray and let it sit and possibly use a flexible strap wrench for oil changes. Once it is off keep the O ring well lubed.

Sounds like your heater core is leaking. Follow the hoses off the engine block as they go the bow ( typically that is where the heater core is). Make sure all connections are tight. A new heater core is an easy fix - 150 bucks or less - install it yourself ( it sits in a box which has the blower motor attached directly to it). I speak from expereience.

Perfect Pass : does it even turn on ? Remember PP draws a lot of current. Make sure all the connections are good from PP behind the dash. A bad ground will shut it down very easily. Water in bilge will not affect PP.

Heater core definately busted. You will have so much water in the bilge you'll think you've sprung a leak. It does give your bilge pumps a workout.
