2005 211 cuts out after 30=40 mins

have 2005 211 with the ZR6 motor, after running the boat for around 30-45 mins it will cut out, I will loose sparks,fuel and engine hours on the dash. The boat can also be parked up after use(still running) then return to it after an hour or so and it will not start, but if I then leave it over night it will start first time and run.
I have checked all wires, Its as if something is getting warm and breaking down. any suggestions

Didn't you just replace the ecm because of this problem? If the dash is showing no hours then the ecm is not powering up, so check the big round cannon plug at the end of the engine towards the front of the boat just behind of the fiberglass area where the pylon is mounted it should have a hose clamp on it holding it to the engine side. Check the pin that lines up with the purple wire in the plug.

I have not yet replaced the ECM as ever one keeps telling me that it wont be the ECM. I have now done all the checks and it is indicating that it is the ECM, so I am going to buy one on monday,hopefully it will clear the fault
