    Starting problem

My 90 SN won't start unless I wiggle the throttle in neutral. Sounds like a safety switch, is this a bonehead repair I could do?

I'm having the exact same issue. I think it has something to do with the spring wearing out that's in the throttle lever, but I could be wrong. I'm curious to see the feedback.

I have 2 nautiques ,they both do the same thing. I just put thottle in reverse then back in neutral and it works fine. My Supra did it too !

I've been doing the jiggle thing, but it's getting worse - I guess I'll pull it apart and see what it looks like

Have you tried adjusting the cable at the trans? Put the throttle lever in neutral disconnect the cable at the trans put the shift lever on the trans in neutral. Adjust the cable to slide on the shift lever on the trans.

Sounds like the neutral safety switch located on the top of the tranny for all you guys. It's round with two screws on top. just take the two wires and connect them both to one side or the other and then see if you still have the same trouble. Just be careful that you are not in gear when starting.
