    Removing Floorboard in 206

Has anyone removed the floor section in the bow of a 206? What is holding it in? Any tricks to getting it out?

On my 05' I believe the floor of the open bow area is all fiberglass, don't believe it is removable. What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to do two things, First the floorboard was broken by the previous owner and I'm trying to replace that piece. I have the piece just need to get the old one out. Also I am installing Zero Off Cruise control and am thinking of running the wires to the GPS antenna underneath the bow floorboard.

I've noticed the floor of my 206 under the filler cushion/in front of the bulkhead is very soft. It is obviosly not a structural member. Can't tell if it is part of the drop in liner or not. I've worried about a fat guy like me breaking it.

Please let me know what you find out.

If it is anything like the 216, I had mine (under the filler cushion) replaced on warranty...it started to curl up a bit around the edge and felt spongy. The dealer removed it. I believe there are screws that hold it down and they are hidden in the carpet. See if you can find some srew heads in your carpet.
          Peace..

Or you can just call Dan Jackson (Extreme Powersports (Greenville, IL)). They did my work and can tell you exactly what to do.

I wonder if a shop could glass a 3/4 or 1" backer on it to give it some strength/stiffness.

It clearly is not stiff enough in my opinion.

Causewayskiier - can you post a picture of the part?
